Vic Chernoff Handicap Cafe

Welcome to Handicap Cafe.

I had two serious strokes over an eight year period

that would of killed most people.

God had other plans for me and I have learned a new way of living.

Part of that lesson is to share my view of the world with you.

I used to write a newsletter for family and friends called the Gulchman Newsletter.

The reason for that name was I lived off the grid, in the mountains, at the end of an 8 mile dirt road,

solar powered home and it was in a gulch.

I am just happy to be healthy enough to be able to write this once again, and using the internet to boot!

I am hoping I can offer help to other people and maybe ease their way back from a stroke or any kind of disability where your mobility if affected.

There are so many great products and ideas out there now for the handicapped,  with many different names now, Disability Products, assisted living products, adapted utensils, assistive devices, gifts for the elderly, seniors, disability aids, products for the handicapped, and lots of adaptive daily living aids that make life easier.

I hope you enjoy reading my words as much as I enjoy sharing them.

Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

  1. I enjoy reading what you wrote, dad. You had such a heart for helping to encourage others. Your outlook on life was so positive, even after all you had gone through…a true testament to your relationship with Jesus. It’s something we all need to remember, to see things as a blessing and see how we can use what we have been through to bless others with the time we have left on this earth. Love you and miss you.

  2. Thinking about you dad. I still often wonder what you’re doing up there. What’s your job? Have you seen Pat yet? I’m glad you have a new, healthy, strong body and I’m sure you look like your handsome pictures from your 20’s. Kristene’s dad passed away last month, so it made me think of how hard it was when you left. She is having a hard time, just like we did.
I wonder if you think of us? Dave, Mark, Linda, Mandy and I? Or is Heaven so overwhelming that you are preoccupied with it’s beauty? I do know we will all meet up together in Heaven someday. I love you. I miss you. You were such a blessing to me.

  3. Tammy Burtschi says:

Vic!!! I was your therapist in San Andreas. My name is Tammy ( the tomorrow diet lol) I have thought about you so often and always wondered what happened to you. I remember I had asked you to pray once and you responded with… how about you pray??? You were always such an inspiration and I’m so happy to see you’re apparently doing well. Where are you living now?
